Insomnia InnerVisions

Contributed by secretwind on Sunday, 25th September 2005 @ 04:06:35 AM in AEST
Topic: insomniac

Looked in the mirror
didn't recognise the face
and yesterday I crashed
couldn't remember my name
or the way
the way to find the time
to just relax and smile,
there's nothing I can do
to ever ease the pain.

I've been riding on a carousel
that is spinning
going round and round and round,
I got no one I know
who can help or has the time.
I think I miss
the kiss
of something to believe in
cause in this aimless existence
there's no meaning to life.

Always running up hill
so fast
but standing still
Insomnia
keeping me awake at night
I never really sleep anymore...
In Isolation tears of confusion
flow
as I am slowly fading,
I don't know where I belong
and no longer care to know.

I've been thinking
that's something's really wrong
I stumble and I stagger
this is my wreckage
this is what I've become,
never knowing what I really want
and don't you get too close
cause I'll run....
nothing eases the pain
when you don't belong.

A very sad but honest write. I like this alot, and I'm sure many of us have felt this way at one time or another...I know I have, and hopefully in time, things will look up for you. Very well expressed piece.
