Written not Delivered

"Just let me ride this pain like a wave ... Lord make me over I don't want to be afraid ... and when my time has come and gone, I don't want to be the one ... who can't let go ..." from a song by Lizz Wright - "Trouble"

I WILL LOVE YOU for the rest...of....my.... life, You and
no other. You are the owner of my heart, the keeper of my soul, and
the only sharer of my spirit I shall ever need. I will never ask for
it's return, I give it to you freely, completely and without strings.
You see, my heart is too full of love for you to settle for anything
less. I have come to far to ever look back, and I have no doubt that I
deserve the best that life and love have to offer. You showed me how
beautiful love is, how wonderous the journey, and how it feels to give
of oneself without expecting anything in return. Yes, I had
experienced those feelings before, with strength and purity. But I
tell you now, it is different, it is stronger now than I ever thought
possible. It astonishes me! That I could be so overwhelmed with
admiration and so full of pure, passionate, untarnished love,
that my heart was capable of feeling again. You breathed your
love into me and changed the rules forever. There are tears in my
eyes as I write this, a smiling sadness of hope and fear. But no
matter, I will not question it, nor will I try to explain it. I dont
CARE how or why I fell in love with you, I just know that I did. I
don't need anything from you, I do not need you to validate my
feelings, I know they are true as the ocean knows the sand, as the
heavens know the stars. I am not asking anything from you, in fact it
is for just the opposite that I am writting to you. I did not return
to your life to turn it upside down, I returned because you are the
one who changed my life. You are the one who showed me the way out of
the darkness. I wanted to share that with you, to show you what a gift
it was that you gave me. The gift of love, the gift of friendship, the
gift of hope, the gift of trust, and the grandest gift of all, you
gave me the gift of yourself. Please forgive my emotional weakness but
it is important that we are on the right foot. You have so much
ahead of you in your life, so many experiences yet to enjoy. I don't want to
be the reason for confusion in your life ... I want to be the clarity through the fog.
I am simply offering what I humbly offered upon our first meeting.
I offer the first gift I ever gave you, a no strings, no demands, non judging,
diplomatic immune gift of myself. An anytime, anywhere for any reason right, to me.
The Friendship I offer is not new to us, nor has it changed. It is the
definition of our UNCONDITIONAL relationship.

Note: Some things are best left unsaid, but some are not. Sometimes love loses no matter how strong it is ... Love can not conquer all ... As much as we'd like to believe that it can .. and as much as I write poetry expressing that kind of love... Love that can never be torn down ... it's simply unrealistic. Even the best intentions fall short of fairy tales ... but oh how I want the poetic expression of love!! Its not enough to feel it yourself, to be ga-ga ... She is out there ... She is perfectly flawed and her heart is as big as the Blue Wyoming sky ... She can feel my heart ... She will look into my eyes and know ... She is lost right now, searching, seeking ... I hope she finds that elusive high of happiness ... and Love willing ... our fingers will entwine as we walk into our sunset ... Sometimes doing whats best or right is the hardest thing we ask of ourselves ... Sometimes forgiveness is as elusive as Love. -Matthew (Smooth)

I miss you LJP, God ALLMIGHTY how I miss you.

In your enthusiasm, you made this poem too long, not interesting enough to read past few lines. May be the person who it is meant for could find it interesting.

This is not what the bible teaches

"In this world you will have trouble, but take heart I have overcome the world" John 16:33b

God's love is unconditional, but we live in a troubled world.

Oh yes, lovely write, unconditional love at its best, and Jesus says to love one another. One thing you must know though is, you must place Jesus, first. Love Him with all of your heart, He will see to it that you get love in return. Full of emotion, I loved to read this, I felt so much love for my first husband, I still do, but Jesus is the one I focus on to help me through my days, and with my friends and family and He keeps me, and all of us safe, and our dear loves and friends and family in heaven. Keep writing, this is very informative when it comes down to showing just how much you will give up of yourself to love one of Gods children. True love is not a fairy tale, dreaming of it is and not truly sharing it, keeping it to yourself.

Bless you and huggs,

Raquel Leah :D
