Through swollen eyes,
I gaze upon your bed;
Your eternal resting place,
And I wonder why it had to be.
Many years before
You stole my innocence
Which concieved such a hate,
So vicious and so cruel.
Had I only known
That my hand was part
Of the fate that you sealed,
Would things have been different?
If only I would have said a kinder word;
If only I would have smiled.
Could I have stopped it?
Could I have stopped you?
There are no answers
And there will never be,
For you slumber silently
Beneath stone and flowers.

I ask these questions too and surprisingly there are answers. You just have to look in the right place. |
