Gentle arms beckon slowly to my tear stained face
Caressing each feature, erasing all trace.
Softly laying my head on your shoulder
Whispering words of love to each other.
Closing red and swollen green eyes
fearing someday we'll say our goodbyes.
Hands travel slowly along my tense spine
I wonder how I got so lucky you're mine.
Strong, safe, solid embrace
It's pressure easing the pain on my face.

What greater desire abides in the heart than to be held in true love's embrace.
Well written, friend. May you be safe.
Take care.
