A Falling Star
A lonely girl sat silent
under a big oak tree
her hair blowing about
like an untamed sea
Her tears were falling
such as falling stars do
Her life was once happy
but now cold and blue
Her friends were gone
Her parents were too
But all seemed so close
Such as the stars do
Drifting away from people
shying from crowds
Seems like no one
wants her to be around
She looked at the gray sky
It seemed to do what others couldn't do
It comforted her so...
Just like the stars do too
