Green Eyed Witch

Contributed by bookworm484 on Saturday, 24th September 2005 @ 09:58:34 AM in AEST
Topic: Holiday Poetry

Bubble, bubble
Toil and trouble.
A voice rings out into the night
It pierces the sky like a violent bite.

Curiosity gets the best of me
And I step into the light just so I could see.
And what I found was surely a bizarre sight
And it took all my being not to take flight.

For what I saw was none other than a witch,
Hat askew and in need of a stitch.
She had long brown hair and emerald green eyes
And a look of temptation no one denies.

She gave me that look and asked me to dance,
Under those two green moons I had no chance.
So I let out my hair and began to prance.

With the full moon glowing on our fair skin,
We sang out a song,
And this is how it begins.

“Bubble, bubble
Toil and trouble.
Now we sing double
And we will dance, dance and dance
until this place is rubble.”

On the 31st of October
Those with sanity see only a place worn-over.
But those who are not so sober
See us dancing over and over.

Happy Halloween!!
