Destroying Agony

Contributed by wachumiri on Saturday, 24th September 2005 @ 03:45:18 AM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

In agony
Approaching Death
Destroys your hopes
Constricts your breath

A choking hold
Upon your throat
Ears resonate
With piercing note

Your spirit crushed
In Fate’s vile hand
Your heart concedes
It can’t withstand

I pick up Death
From off your back
And cast him far
Back to his hell

Down by your side
I kneel, I fall
I will to take
Your every pain

I hold you close
As your heart’s tears
Mingled with blood
Come stain my soul

I raise your head
And hold it close
Close to my chest
Close to my heart

You cry the tears
You thought you lost
Release the fears
That held them in

And in your eyes
A hope is born
To face a life
That threw you out

Now stand up tall
And walk with hope
And know that I
Have got your back

this is a wonderful write ...
and for that reason, one could get picky.

but since you are satisfied with it, i am too ...

so let the gods of poetry uneasily ruffle their feathers
in the knowledge of that acceptance ...
