Deep Blue

Contributed by darkhorse71 on Saturday, 24th September 2005 @ 01:05:56 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

As I gaze into your misty eyes
I can see my teardrops falling,
slipping down your porcelain cheeks
to end up begging at your feet.

Now my heart's in exile
with no way to come back home.
I know the truth, it's in my soul
and still I can't believe you're gone.

You left me stranded and lonely,
naked - without a clue.
You left me hurting and knowing
how deep a color is blue.

Sometimes I see the light far off,
but hope will not sustain -
as another night surrounds me
and pummels me with pain.

I learned too well that light is illusion
there's nothing but darkness to find.
So now I'm lurking in past shadows,
while this madness pervades my mind.

You left me stranded and lonely,
naked - without a clue.
You left me hurting and knowing
how deep a color is blue.

I'm sorry for you. I've felt the sting of lost love. But even that is beautiful in a way. A sorrow that is pain, it hurts, because it is not joy, it is not love, as you wish it to be.
May your heart find peace.
Take care.
David

Just remember, pain is there, yet can subside.! We all have to hurt, at least ...once.! Dont hide, tho. Let the pain, go and find new that flows.. If not it wont go and will remain, forever.! There, are more that can be there for you and love. Good write, with lots of emotions.

I think most people can relate with the feeling of a broken heart, some people, afterwards shut themselves out completely, forgetting about finding someone else who won't do that to them, they put up a gaurd. But what you need to do is be stronger, begin to cope, and realize someone else is waiting for you. Great write, I hope you feel better soon John.

I felt the depth, pain and longing in this write. The last two stanzas were my favorite. Such a statement too, "How deep a color is blue" different for everyone and so many layers exist. I truly hope things get brighter for you, losing someone is so difficult and I know the time afterward is the most troublesome. Goodluck, hugs

We all hurt sometimes and it feels like we will drown in the pain. Yet in time we see light again and know we will survive and love again. So sorry for your loss.
