Shatter

Contributed by yellow_sundragon on Thursday, 22nd September 2005 @ 03:38:23 AM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

Here I am, flying "home"
But this time, not alone
This time You hold my hand
And say "don't quiver, my lamb"

For four months I'll be away
From the home I want to stay
But You have led me here
You are calming my fear

How have I come so far in You?
And now I know what's really true
You've held my hand as I've stumbled
You've bandaged me when I've tumbled

And here You sit beside me,
The sinner whom You set free
As I wait to board this flight
I hear You whisper "it's alright"

You already know how I'll fall
And how I'll think I've lost it all
But for right now it doesn't matter
You'll hold me as I start to shatter

Jaime Moran

It is always good to connect with forgiveness. I think you do a great job of showing this in your poem.

Only you could mix beauty and sadness together in words so eloquently dear. My god, I've missed you and your writing lately. You're back now, from the trip, I take it? I hope it went well.
