Six Feet

My eyes open to the dark
Fear I feel, I cannot move
I scratch, I cry, and I bark
Maybe I’m caught in a groove
My nails start to grind
A wooden surface lies ahead
I feel I will lose my mind
Stopping I wonder, am I dead?
Nothing to do but starve and drought
I wish I were back at my hearth
My mind can abandon and get out
But my body lay six feet below the Earth

it's an interesting topic, when our lives stiffle us as if we were in a tomb, I like the way you presented it.... I love the metaphor of being in the coffin.... |
