Oasis For My heart, A Desert Soul

When the whole world

Starts to fall apart

And I start to fall away

And slip into nothing

Like the sands

Of a desert soul

When everything starts to hurt

And I can’t seem to get away

I look into your eyes

And see that you can see

All the love I have for you and

You smile that beautiful smile

That beautiful, enchanting, charming smile

With that smile all the pain

All the unpleasantness of this world

Just falls away and it is just the two of us

Then you kiss me

I take nourishment from your lips

The buds of my soul bloom

And I am inspired again

By your light that shines in me

Through my eyes and hands

And I can write again

awe such a sweet write, i especially liked how you compared your slipping away to the sands of a desert soul, its beautiful.
