Heaven come find me, the tired and dying tree
before she brings her ax-heavy words
Heaven just send light, i need not this lost fight
she's come to cage all the lost birds
Tomorrow i'm waiting, for Hell and her hating
Today i'm just leaves, that reflect dark disease
My bark is all burnt, my soul's never learnt
that love is just sand in your eye!!!
Heaven you've left me, for the best of what's not me
she's come to claim land in my heart
Heaven just leave me, i'm fine just believe me
her claws are now tearing me apart
Last week was lonely, so Hell be my only
Tonight i'm unsure of, but it's got to be Hell's love
My branches are breaking, the lawn needs a raking
cause love is a leaf falling autumn
Hello Heaven, i'm here and i'm tired
pass me the bottle.
I know i've been bad, i'm sorry i'm fired
but Hell isn't everything sad

Very good flow and imagery. I felt this, quite, as read it.
Keep at it. And as Winston Churchill once said, "if you are going through hell, keep going".

I can't determine exactly who you are battling here. I know that on a first read and impression I picked up the inner turmoil, the hatred taking form in the bodies of heven, hell, and this girl who represents what appears to me as your demise. And then on a second read I pick up the spirituality of the write where heven and hell can actually represent their masters and your collaboration with them to try and endure your demise, the girl expressed here. The third time over I let all the feeling soak in and got something completely different but equally brilliant than I had come away with the first two times I read this. The last stanza continues to plague me with indecision, for here I am torn between your expression of an alliance with hell to surpass the pain, endure the pain due to the neglect of heaven. Or Is it the innerturmoil, you fighting and realizing that your weaknessess sometimes are the very strength that you need to endure yourself?~ I am still analyzing and loving this peice of shear brilliance.
~shall i find any faith here, when i return?~ |
