What if what you said wouldn’t happen

Happens?

What if something happens?

Would you choose to tell me?

Or choose to keep it inside?

Which would be less painful?

If something were to happen,

Please don’t tell me

Tell anyone else,

That would not tell me

Because the thought of me knowing

Would shatter me
And I would rest for eternity.
