My Soul

My Soul

Look at what my soul has turned to
It is not what you once knew
Its been pierced and bruised
Look at it, take a good look at it
Its been opened to you all
Like the clouds open in fall
It is dripping in tears
Cause of your smears and jeers.

It lies here in thy presence
Devoid of thy blessings
It is all messy
A shameless rag
That is what you have tagged it
Scurrilously you all have spoken
Against a soul, more in token
Lord have mercy, it is my soul.

I am befuddled as it is
For my soul is in state less at ease
Who hath a kind heart
Who amongst you hath a gentle hand
Someone pick it
Oh! Let that angle cleanse it
So that it be made pure again
So that my life thus be regained.

Were it not my fouled hands
I am sure to have smacked out the sands
Throw a party and have a dance
But am loath to say in ounce
What many may speak all at once
For my soul is but shamed
Look at what you all have turned it to
It is not the same.

Souls can only be cleansed by one being, and He does it with gentleness and slowly but surely.
You've pulled a lot together here. I'm guessing the words just poured out.
A good start.
Stitch

It takes great courage to expose wounds inflicted and expose them.for everyone to see.

So right are you, some are so deep and festering that only HE can heal them.
Great write.
Blessings
Elizabeth

I do hope you've been able to leave the past where it should be. Behind you. It seems like you've been able to learn from it, for that is what the past if for.
Take care.
David
