That's what I get....

Contributed by Sonibe on Friday, 17th January 2003 @ 09:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Everything was
going just fine,
And now I'm to the point
where I could use some wine.
I ran out of luck and
let my feelings take over,
All the luck in the world couldn't help
not even a four-leaf clover.

That's what I get
for trying not to be alone,
I try to be like others
but I guess I'm solitude-prone.
That's what I get
for letting someone else in my life,
At the rate I'm going
I may never get a wife.

That's what I get
for not being myself,
The path of silence and solitude
is what I chose be myself.
I couldn't done anything wrong
because we only meet at school,
I don't know if she hates me
if she thinks I'm just another fool.

Well, I know right now
I'm not letting anyone else in,
Because it's always the same
and that's not the way it's suppose to begin.
I also know that
I'm meant to be alone,
And all info about me
is meant to be unknown....

Don't get me wrong
I didn't do anything illegal,
I don't know what happened
but what I do is legal.
