Freedom

Contributed by Loende on Wednesday, 21st September 2005 @ 03:50:49 AM in AEST
Topic: AmericanTragedy

You are not forgotten
Never fear it’s true
So long as I have breath in me
I’ll remember you

Your life was taken, not by choice
By those who lost their way
Three thousand lives, sacrificed
Freedom’s price to pay

Know that those you left behind
Do not mourn alone
We, your country, shelter them
Mercy will be shown

Fifty countries shared this grief
The whole world shocked and stunned
Our hearts forever changed that day
Our trust in Man, undone

And when the Day of Judgment comes
When Truth and Justice reign
All those Angels lost that day
Will smile down again.
