On the phone again
The awkward silence I know too well
The what ifs run through my mind
Why wasn't I good enough for you?
Now that I think of it
You don't really know me
You don't know what scares me
I never really showed you who I am
You never really took the time to talk to me
I fell for the person I made you to be
I defended you when people said things
Now I don't know what to say
I couldn't see that you were just a little boy
You need to grow up
I need to learn how to talk to you
Let you know how I feel
Even if you don't care
Sometimes relationships fade away and crumble
Thats what happened

I can really relate to this. It's a disappointing moment when you realize the person you are so in love with is barely a person at all. And you aren't who they thought you were. But keep your chin up, it all gets better ^ ^
Oh, and if it may help, listen to "You Think You're A Man" by The Vaselines. |
