Death With Honor

Contributed by darkhorse71 on Tuesday, 20th September 2005 @ 10:42:37 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Broken hearts and broken dreams,
broken families, feel the screams.
Tattered flesh and shattered hope,
no skills left with which to cope.
The memories of a child abused
co-mingle with adult thoughts bruised;
add to that unbearable pain
and nothing’s left in life to gain.
I pray each day will be my last
but God is laughing off his ass.
The past is there, I can not hide,
but in the present I can’t abide.
I have two kids I need to please
so I can’t force the sweet release.
I have nothing for them to give
except the fact I try to live.
So what is left for such as I?
My only hope is that I die
a natural death so quick and sure
their memories will be left pure.

Very good write. I understand where you are coming from with this write. It is very powerful the least. Enjoyed reading it. Hope things get better and you find the light for you wanting to stay here on this hell we call earth. Thanks for sharing

Now if you left who would I talk to? Who would comment on my poems?! I'm going to be a hypocrit here, but you shouldn't think that way, if you think about things like that, you'll only get worse. Realize how many people there are that love you, and that want you around, just think of what your kids would do without you. All you can do, is be the best you can, and thats enough. There's always someone out there who cares. Lovely write, can't wait for more.

- Cassy

I've felt this way before but thank God he didn't answer my thoughts or prayers. he knew someday again I would savor life. Now I live to write.
Hang tuff, my friend as joy cometh in the morning.
luv, huggs, prayers,
emy
