Me Inside
Deep in the valley, deep in my soul
Deep in the world that I now control
Underneath the shadows, behind all the masks
Nothing without purity ever really lasts
Insanity raging in the rest of you
But I’ll confess and I’ll be true
I’m not a maniac, I’m not insane
I just get upset on memory lane
So I lash out but every once in a while
Does that mean I’m “out of style?”
I never knew it was cool to be unstable
I didn’t know I should’ve hung by a cable
Everyone else is depressed and suicidal
Just because I’m not, I can’t be an idol
I’m not the right image for everyone to see
I’m not good enough, though now I’m me
