Snow In July

Contributed by gospel.apostle on Tuesday, 20th September 2005 @ 02:25:27 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I've seen flowers bloom in the bed of sand;
I've seen the wicked purified in the promised land.
I'll hear your voice on the other side of this world;
I've seen a lump of coal shaped into a pearl.
I'll build your dreams if this was my last day on earth
I'll treat this heart like gold if it should lose its worth
We'll be standing under waterfalls if the oceans ran dry
You'll find the truth inside my every lie.
We can make this moment last an eternity,
I'll find the cure inside this disease
What if shooting stars seared only in the twilight,
I saw the snow coming down in July.

My sun will shine above the pouring rain
with you, I'd stand tall in the heart of shame.
I'll make my stand even if I'm scared to death
you're my oxygen if I can't find my next breath.
I've seen prayers redeemed from a curse
If you finish last, in God's heart you're always first
I've heard laughter in the midst of tears
I've seen bravery dispel all the fear.
Some people stand tall even when on their knees.
Some find victory in the shadows of defeat.
Give it a shot even if it hurts to try;
I saw the snow coming down in July.

A positive outlook on life. A very entertaining work.
But snow in July? Of course, it must be in the mountains.
Good luck with all your endeavors. For with this type
of attitude , you shall succeed in what you reach for.

****Give it a shot even if it hurts to try;
I saw the snow coming down in July.

Yes, nothing to lose, and all to gain.

Yes, also nothing is impossible as far as the weather, from sea level on up.

In Tillamook Oregon it happened in the 50’s. I was about six years old, and I do remember Santa Claus sitting in the display window at Woolworths clothing department, he was all dressed up, lol, the Mrs. In a bathing suit standing next to him, little elves holding onto sand bucket and shovels, it was a real Christmas in july, postcards the whole bit.

In San Diego, Ca. It snowed on Christmas eve in the early 70’s, just a powder covering, but was so wonderful.

Enjoyable write, thank you for your generous heart in creating it.
