Legend of the Heart

Contributed by darkhorse71 on Tuesday, 20th September 2005 @ 03:32:42 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Why is this? I'm torn apart
in the castle of my heart.
God only knows how hard I tried
but on this day my Camelot died.
My blood has frozen very slowly
as my heart has gotten lonely;
and in my mind I see her face
that God lent to me in His grace.
I see your spirit deeply dawning
in the pools your eyes are fawning.
Your love fills up the hourglass
but then I turn it over fast;
watching as the golden sands,
with your love, slips through my hands.
I lost your love, you're mine no more,
my heart is but a barren shore.
A wasteland now, with passion spent;
and so my soul has now been rent.
Eternal wound, this open sore,
for love is love forever more.
How can I relieve this sadness?
If I feel more I'll be in madness.
Hide me from emotions deep
or for all time I'll have to weep.

Glad to see you are back. Oh, do I ever know how you are feeling. Sometimes you wander if you can actually move on without their love. I love this whole poem but what stands out to me is

"I lost your love, your mine no more,
my heart is but a barren shore".

I know how that feels. Welcome back.

Great write. Hope i can relate to more of your writings.

Wow...that was beautiful.
