If I Left Today

Topic: goodbyepoetry

If I Left Today

If I left today
Could I make it up to you
I wouldn't care that I don't know
Wouldn't care what was before me

I can't see it in your eyes
So many things you want to say
I'm scared for how I feel
I love you more than any other before

If I left today
Would you give me a chance
A chance to show you
How much I feel for you

A chance to make up for everything
Everything that I failed at
I tried my best, gave you my all
All that I am is nothing without you

If I left today
Would you have things unsaid

If I left today
Could I show you

If I left today
Would I leave alone

This is a great poem, I am reminded of a song when I read it

"We'll have our quarrels
and you will upset me but what can I do
You've been mine ever since I met you
and I'll never leave you"

Quote from "You were made for me" by Sam Cooke

"If I left today
Would I leave alone"

Very strong and powerful. Could feel your emotions in this. Great write and thanks for sharing
