On the Edge

Topic: DarkPoetry

I was on the edge
Right on the ledge
You could’ve pulled me back
Could’ve put me back on track

I was on the edge
Right on the ledge
You could have been a friend
And pulled me away from the end

I was on the edge
Right on the ledge
You could’ve saved me and my life
Could’ve helped me win this strife

I was on the edge
Right on the ledge
You could’ve easily saved me
But I guess you were an enemy

I was on the edge
Right on the ledge
And then I felt your hands
They were as soft as sand

I was on the edge
Right on the ledge
When I felt your hands push
And I fell with a ‘swoosh’

I was on the edge
Right on the ledge
But I’m not anymore
I’m done with this war

I was on the edge
Right on the ledge
You could’ve saved me
But then you just pushed me

I was on the edge
Right on the ledge
And I am about to die
Because of your lies

I was on the edge
Right on the ledge

The squeaky wheel gets the oil

This is a great write and you can always be pulled back so long as you don't give up.
