Rusty Karmic cage

Contributed by johndough111 on Friday, 17th January 2003 @ 05:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Moving away from things you hold dear
With blood on my palms and clusters in my eyes
I have no fear
Come and take me down, strike me down I don’t care I have been found
My veins sprayed clean my façade
And slammed my ego to the ground
If I could’ve just withstood the tyranny
If I could’ve just felt that in all my sleepless nights there was someone hearing me
Then maybe it would not have come to this

Long have I seen the sunrise with black eyes
Long have the passing dawns fueled my rage
Maimed from legs and then from heart
I was left mindlessly chewing through my rusty karmic cage

And now I am free, I’ve moved away from things that are holy signing in red my contract too damnation, this fate was not of my creation, but it was better than continuing to live in deviation… of my identity

I never harmed a living creature, yet I am so willing to let me slip away
Like the leaves that turned brown in those suburban spring days, and just as when they were gone, when I am gone the world will be cold, but unlike them at least I wont have left old

They say that in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king
This could not be further from the truth, for the world is blind and it welcomes its kin, and all others are accused of “sin”
Was this the dream?
Was this the dream?
To follow the rules…. I had two eyes and I was still used as a tool
Was this the dream?
How would I know, I do not dream

Who build your carmic cage? it is you, good you are now out of the cage. Then you try to build your own heaven. about truth..if you are really burning to realize ..it will be definitely revealed..no other way you have to struggle for it cause your experience states that the world is blind...Any how this is a real poem..I shared it with love because i have thousand eyes..venkat

Wow this was all so good it was so beautiful yet sad.
I never harmed a living creature, yet I am so willing to let me slip away
A lot of lines stuck out to me, but that line was just so powerful and I can relate to it a lot. This was great. Keep your stuff up.
