Meet me at the footbridge,
for there is something I must say.
It’s been stirring inside me for months,
and it can not wait another day.
Meet me at the footbridge
for there is something you must know.
It’ll be the perfect place to say it,
under frozen flakes of falling snow.
Meet me at the footbridge,
and I’ll be there alone
I’ve finally mustered up the courage
To say this on my own.
Meet me at the footbridge
I hope this isn’t to forthright
But all I really want to give you,
Is all of my heart tonight.

Wow, that was fun. I blasted right through it with a song stuck in my head, and it almost fit in perfectly with the pacing of the words. Of course, it was "Do You Want To" (Franz Ferdinand), so that put a whole spin on the meaning of the words that MAY be different than what you were thinking, but whatev. *Shrug*
I liked the rhyming schematic, and I have come to enjoy the regular stream of poetic un-nonsense you've been raining on us, so I don't think I have much to say in the matter of things I liked and didn't like. I liked it, okay, and I can't concentrate on anything well enough now to nitpick. It sounds like a great place to meet, wish I could meet someone there (a sarah I've met, dot dot dot) |
