Many say they would not do it
I believe it is a lie
If we were living way back then
we'd condemn Jesus to die
The truth today seems fleeting
and we don't search any more
we often go on others fragments
casting at the bible stones
I'm not responsible
for those who taught
a message incomplete
or hurt your heart
I hear it every time
I speak of him
the pain you have causes you to judge
I can say he's not like that
you have to know that for yourself
I can point it out to you
but I don't think it would help
You have given up your search
you have formed your opinion
I only wonder why every time it hurts
God has to pay the cost
There are many churches
preaching in his holy name
some of them don't teach to you
how it is you can be saved
They ask you for your membership
and they take from you your money
leaving you with bitterness
and even feeling down and lonely
I see it in your words
and see it in your eyes
that people have hurt you
in the name of Jesus Christ
I can say he's not like that
you have to know that for yourself
I can point it out to you
but I don't think it would help
You have given up your search
you have formed your opinion
I only wonder why every time it hurts

Maybe it was mom and dad that made you go to church
You could not make your own decisions
Maybe it's the tragedies that cause physical hurts
that led you to a decision to no longer believe
I can say he's not like that

I try to never say I wouldn't do something, because you never know what the future will bring. I believe in God and pray to him all the time. I have such a guilty conscience I never blame anyone but me. (I beat myself up all the time sigh) Yes this did make me pause and think as good poetry should. Thank you for an intriguing (?) piece. Write on, Archie, write on.

Wonderful write Archie,
Yes, some people keep hanging Him on the cross over and over. It is sad, makes me cry.
I attend Church of Raquels Heart every day
There I pay my dues, I worship Him, He loves me

Everyone should read this-
God is not to blame..
Wne tragedy happens, and people ask:
"How could he let this happen?"
..they need to understand God created earth in ALL it's glory..natural disasters and the like.
He created Man in the image of his son..
(a grand gesture indeed)
only..he also gave us free will...WE decide to do right or wrong..
what's evil and what's not..
We may not be able to controll the weather-
but on thoughts and actions??
It's all us.
Don't blame Him.
