I looked at the tears
streaming down her face;
confused I walked over
tugging on her sleeve.
"Mommy, why are you crying?
Heros arnt supposed to cry."
Wiping her tear strickon cheeks
she looked at me through blurry eyes
and her sad smile.
"I know I should be strong hunny.
I know I shouldnt cry
But sometimes when the pain pulls so hard
tears seem to stream from my eyes."
I nodded in agreement
knowing she was right.
Now even today
as I try to be brave.
I know heros cry.

Very cute poem. I like how it is from a child's perspective.

This is a lovely lovely tribute to her. Yes, heros do cry as do angels. I would say she is probably both and you are lucky to have each other.
Blessings,
