When Passion dies

Contributed by darkscorpio on Sunday, 18th September 2005 @ 12:17:04 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

What do you do, when the passion dies
Hold on and stay, or live a lie
Pretend that it’s there, pretend you still feel
While dying inside, encased in steel
Desperately wanting the spark to be there
But knowing that it’s not fills my heart with despair
I promised my love I would never fake
And just go through the motions, just for the sake
Of not being alone, cause now we sit in separate rooms
As the house fills with the ashes of the bond that lies in ruins

Quite a dilemma, whats more important passion or being togather?

Great poem and yes, a bitter pill to swallow. I don't envy these
emotions. I know all too well how difficult they can be.....on
EITHER end. The poem, however, was very well written and
captured, I think, the sentiment perfectly.

If the feelings are gone, there's nothing you can do. But writings a great outlet for expressing yourself. I just hope its easing some of the pain for you. But you know what michael, just hold your head high cause brighter days are there way, don't let the past bring you down, you can't blame yourself. Extremely good write, can't wait to see more. Hope it all works out.

- Cassy
