load bearing stone

Contributed by lostrelic on Saturday, 17th September 2005 @ 11:12:10 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

scaling the wall of my tomb feeling each cracked brick
these forty foot walls i have built to climb what a trick
the view from the top a image i have never seen
only in moments and visions in dreams

i guess we all have a wall some smaller then mine
we run there when we are scared or to escape the mind

some are maddening and cold that hold scary things
some are small since the owner only use there wings

but in some way we all feel small stuck behind our little wall
trying to find the load bearing stone to watch it fall

but in ways where would we be without its grace
its our safty our home a place to hide our face

well back to my climb i have a long way to go
to get a glimpse of my world and the wonders it shows

Yes we all have our own walls to climb. There seems to be a rock and stone theme running through the poetry today.A great write, Ros
