what about us teens?

Contributed by scarsOfSuicide on Saturday, 17th September 2005 @ 04:58:20 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

All of you people are staring at me. Why?
Was it something I said or did?
Oh that’s right. It’s because I’m not a kid
I’m just a rotten good for nothing teenager.
That’s what every one says about teenagers
I know many teens are mean
But come on, we’re just teens
we have feelings too
Just because you were one and saw what they were like doesn’t mean anything
Did you ever think that teens are mean for a reason
Some of us just hate the season
Like when school starts, not many of us are happy
Just because adults are happy doesn’t mean we have to be also
Some of us are just depressed with our lives
We bully each other to see who is strong enough to survive
We’re not as bad as we seem
Just because you met one that wasn’t exactly nice doesn’t mean we’re all like that
I’m speaking for all teens
Some are also tired of putting up with deans
When that happens, we’re not mad at parents, we just can’t help it.
We get mad at the dean and can’t help who we take it out on sometimes
Teens are just kids in a bigger body.
Kids may not be worried about if they’re ugly or a hottie
But we just want to have fun and relive the fun times
Adults don’t have to think the things they do about us
Thing is adults have been there done that
We think they’d understand our feelings and know why we worry if we’re thin or fat
But you don’t so we ask you to please try to understand that we’re just teenagers and mean no harm. forgive some of us for the things we do

Dear Teen

Quit whining, life is good.
