If by your smile, what you meant was that you cared, then I have miss interpreted, misread, the glaring, true feelings you harbor instead.
If by your touch, you purposefully aroused my lifeless nerves, then I have reached too far, yet not far enough, and I will ultimately get what I deserve.
When you had shown me, opened up to me, and made me part of your world, I had taken pleasure in knowing you, in receiving you, making it true.
If by your goodbye, you had intended to see me soon, how so flattering, like the stars asking to dance with the moon.
Where we meet again, whether as lovers or simple friends, as soul mates or malcontents, as deviants without grace and social complements, I am available.
If by your words, I may have misheard, your speech was slurred, and at the moment it sounded absurd, I remember clearly, yet you have escaped me.

I am stunned by this. It is SO full of sweet longing....
