The Walking Dead

Contributed by pixie on Thursday, 15th September 2005 @ 06:55:21 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I am the living, walking dead,
Do I exist or is it in my head,
Alone I walk in the dying street,
Wondering if the devil & I will ever meet?

I died a long time ago,
Nobody thought of me or cried in sorrow,
I was a ghost way before my soul passed,
Now over the world my shadows cast.

Disease still courses through my veins,
Lucifer won’t release the hold on my reigns,
I suffer in his sick world,
Wearing round my neck his dark pearl.

The pearl of the dead & demised souls,
My ravaged body fades in this dark hole,
Sanity for me is a dream far away,
I am the devils lover, also his prey.

I will forever pay for my sins,
I cry alone as the light in my mind falls dim,
I am the living & walking dead,
Was I ever alive or was it all in his head?

wow. You could sent that to an artist and it would make a great song! It is full of dark angst and raw emotion. Awsome job! Keep up the good work!

Hey,
I think this could be developed into a really good piece of writing.
I'd say the 4th stanza was the strongest. Keep working hard!

" I am the devils lover, also his prey" yeh
and on hell of a poet, this may be dark,
but it also feels very real, perfect pix.

I didn't like the first stanza, but after the line,
"I died a long time ago," it was awesome. It
was nice to read something you had written
again. I really like the rhyming as well. Great
write *thumbs up*

Hi Pix!

Something just told me to check in here tonight and I'm so glad I did.

If ever a piece of writing was created to draw the reader in and capture them, this is it! In some ways sad, in some ways chilling. This is an awesome piece of work and I'm praying to god it comes from that wonderful imagination of yours and not from real life. But having said that, you know that I will always be here for you, no matter what.

Take care dear Pixie.

Love always,

Pander
