Our Nation

Contributed by jayced on Wednesday, 14th September 2005 @ 02:43:48 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

9/11 caused the Arabs discrimination
1990-2005 an increase in black’s incarceration
1940’s Jews faced concentration
Forced low wages for Latino and Mexicans
“64” invited Jim Crow and Segregation
Children limited to Asians
Facing nuclear war far due to the Bush Administration
2010 we face slavery in legislation
Profiled and beaten in police stations
New form of leadership but they closed the investigation
Not to mention Sadam’s forced humiliation
Take away affirmative action cause of political Caucasians
Why vote when they deny our registration
Limit our selection for an election
No respect, No self esteem, so they change gods “imperfections”
No more big mama’s because they hand out liposuction
Sudan’s genocide is annihilation
They blind our issues through mike Jackson’s molestations
Not long ago we were saved by the emancipation
I’m pulled over six times in one month with no hesitation
We got college but there are no guarantees for an occupation
History repeats itself and it’s a continuation
However we all Live under one nation……………..EARTH

Ok this poem scared me, I agree history does have a way of repeating itself all the time. Sometimes I wonder when the earth is going to end, I think another mass exstinction is going to take place. I guess. Lol SLipSiX.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
