Within The Embers Of My Heart...

Contributed by eternal_dreamer on Tuesday, 13th September 2005 @ 05:54:40 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Love had gone and turned its back
Leaving me with a heavy burdened heart
Burning tears masqueraded ritually
With each drop a new would start

When I thought I had lost it all
You made your way to me
But I could not bear another scar
So I pleaded with you to let me be

With each day you hung on to the hope
That maybe I'd change my mind
Emotions of love started to stir
One's I thought I'd left behind

I was slowly starting to fall
So deep in love with you
My heart would flutter, my hands would sweat
Could these feelings I feel be true?

Within the embers of my heart
Love once again shone through
I thought that all was lost
Until I found true love with you...

Good for you Sue, and I am so happy for you! I like the positive feelings in this write, and it is so true...Just when you stop looking for love, it finds you.
Very nice job with this.

Through the darkness one often finds light, yes and very true. Good emotion as well as choice of wording.

WONDERFUL...........See someone do heed to what is out there and the paths that are there. I just know , it doesnt always happen for all, but why not see if it can.!

This is good. Usually embers reflect a dying love or a love that is barely hanging on. I like your version of it

This poem is a natural piece of pure love, I can feel it, you left your heart prints on it... I am happy Sue..you are such a loving person, I pray you get all the love you deserve...I certainly love you my friend..

Huggs, and huggs, and wish I could hug and kiss you in person, instead of finger kisses..from my keyboard..

Slowest is True-love’s blossoms, to grow by far the strongest within Wisdom's realm, to frame.
What an great sentiment of love journey “revived for a better start,” dearest Susie Q, and a better life to gain.

Your admiring fan/ friend.
