The wind smells of high heaven
And the breeze carries your kiss
It leaves me happy and enlivened
Adding to all the things I miss
About you when you are away
I miss all the little sweet things that you do
That I cherish every moment, every day
All the little “imperfections” that make you
The girl I love in every single way
Roses cry black tears when I can’t hear your voice
It’s hard to see roses filled with such gloom
They wither like my heart as if they had a choice
But one word from you and the gardens in full bloom
And the voice of my soul sings in rejoice
Because I have you next to me again
Back in my arms where you belong
Close to my heart where you help me mend
Where I can protect you because you make me strong
We are stronger together than we are alone
We are two souls with one will
To make what we have last, to always feel at home
To keep our promise for ever and to make the time go still
To feel like we are meant to be, our destiny etched in stone
