This is the end of a mixtape summer
The moke's slipping away
But the smell still lingers
And I've almost lost my way
But the last few chords are ringing
It still feels so surreal
Sitting in your room
Radio up so loud
Trying not to feel
As I'm slowly losing my hold
one thing I still know
We won't forget a moment of this
Remember the good, forget the rest
Like I said...
Remember all of it
Breathe now
Scream loud
Don't forget how you yelled...
Of pavement and cigarettes
And how we felt
Giving up on all our bets
I can feel it sliding away
Holding on to on elast day
Wishing it could be like this forever
Thanks for that mixtape summer.
And thank you Ana...for making me the soundtrack of my life. I didn't know a mixtape could mean so much.
