"I'm sorry."
I heard it echo through the wind.
I turn my head around quickly,
expecting to see your apologetic face.
Instead, standing in it's place,
remains nothing.
"You should be!"
I snap back at the air.
I cant fool myself.
I know you've got too much pride,
and too little room left in your heart for another useless Indie girl.
The wind twirls around,
then knocks me over.
And, I'm starting to think that it really could be you.
Here, mearly to tease me with affection,
then watch me fall again.

I like this. It's written in a no nonsense manner that effectively displays your emotions. Nicely done, especially the ending.
