that holds my heart together?
Will you look into my eyes even though
I know they've burned forever?
And when our wings burn off,
will you catch me before the sky does?
See, it feels a lot like drowning
But I think that I'm in love
And will your safety pin hold up,
even after whatever we go through?
Well I'd be happy if you like me half as much
as I'm in love with you.

Very nice concept indeed. I like this, and the fact that you're not totally sure, and asking questions, yet still brave enough to take that 'fall.'

3 years ago tuesday i found my soul mate when i was lost, he was a meer bandgage that god ripped away too soon now the wounds may never heal ... great write your poem was a reminder of him
