Repeation of Absolution

Contributed by TrowaDaryk on Saturday, 10th September 2005 @ 08:38:06 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

He stands tall as the chains weigh him down
He does not fall as the whip crakcs on his back
This man is condemned yet he still stands by his conviction
Opposed all and still does as the last of his kind
He knows his death shall shall come but he doesn't fear it
This man forsaken but the greatest saint of all
His knees wabble nearly buckling, from the crack of the whip
The tormentor punches him and knockes him to the ground
Despite the weight, pain in his body and soul he stands agian
Imprisoned for years, it never ending
Yet his wild spirit never leaves him
His comrades fell one by one in this hell
Now only he remains to take the beatings
Given to them for wishing to be free
The tormentor yelled tired of his boldness and strenght to carry on
He pulled out a knife and slit the throat of the man
He expected to see him fall, weep, and bleed to death
Instead the man stood and stared down the tormentor with a smile
With astonishment the tormentor watched as he died on his feet
He broke down, how could this man be so strong even in death?
He pushed the standing corpes as hard as he couldyet it didn't fall
The tormentor went mad after days without rest trying to make it fall
Finally he lost it all and grabed the knife and plunged it into his own heart
As he died, he fell to his knees, cowering
For he saw death and death was the never dieing man
