You should never say what you may regret;
Always be remembered for the good that you meant.
Always help out those in need;
It may be you eventually looking for that similar deed.
If a dollar meant a homeless man’s next meal;
What if it was you stuck with that deal?
Stop a bully from paying their victim their dues;
Imagine being the one standing in their shoes.
Never be conceited for the cancers you don’t share;
You may have setbacks you’ll think are unfair.
Never look down at someone riding a wheelchair;
Would you have the patience if you were sitting there?
If you heard someone damning Jesus or God;
Would they pay the price impaled to the cross?
Never feel bad that you’re an adopted son;
God gave you parents with a greater love.
Don’t turn away from a kid hooked on alcohol or drugs;
Maybe the punishment they’re enduring has been quite enough.
Never curse the Lord for any unanswered prayers;
Perhaps it’s a blessing to show you that He cares.

Good poem. Makes you stop and think about what is happening in your life may not be as bad as the stranger standing next to you. I guess we get so lost in our own lives that we don't think about other people who might have it worse. thanks for sharing. |
