Poetry is
a painter
inside the poet's head,
painting pictures-
in your head;
or
Poetry is
a conductor
inside the poet's head,
conducting an orchestra-
in your head;
or
Poetry is
the painter
painting to the tunes of the conductor,
inside
your head.
(So how's the painter and the conductor from my head behaving in yours?)

Good luck with more allegories... |

I think any of the above would be applicable at one time or another. I like to think as poetry as my inner voices talking with yours, but that is just me. Nice concept.

What a great concept!
I beleive there is a poet in us all, some are just better at expressing it than others and perhaps....some don't hear it as well.... |

I thought this was an excellent concept.... the repetition of the 'in your head' didn't do it for me tho....
