slam the breaks
street lights turn into foggy images
i watch it happen to us from above
it plays over. always on repeat.
our heads slam into the windshield
tomorrow wasnt promised for us
our bodies are like dust
floating above your speeding car
the wet pavement smelt of burnt rubber
WE CAN HERE THEM TALKING ABOUT US.....
"...they WANTED to die together.."
"wanted to"
say what they want.
i was wearing my crimson red dress
you were wearing your confidence
tonight was supposed to be danced away
well atleast we "left" together
our bodies bruised and gone
but our hearts still ache for eachother
me and you, we''re suspended together
our spirits hushed but passionate
my red dress is covering you now
darling we''re crimson red
dancing together for eternity.

| this poem was many things, oddly sweet for one. it was also kind of a message or warning to others. it was sad on one note and joyful in the other. great job conveying so many feelings. |
