Hear the Good

Contributed by Archie on Thursday, 8th September 2005 @ 11:30:03 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

We only hear the birds sing with in the trees
We never see them die because stupidity
We only hear the words Friend i''m here for you
but never say them to one in need of them

It is such a paradox the world we live in
where "Me" is the main rule
relationships break up
for one is left the giver
the other only takes from you

We only see the tree stand tall, never cut down
We only hang with our friends , frowns upside down
We take from him whose poor and give it to the rich
an act so culpable.

Solacious attitudes always rue the day
transcending honour with problems and dismay
by nature this is all we know how to do
you take from me and give it unto you

Hear the good ignore the bad
blame others for what''s our fault
draw a circle in the sand
just to keep out all the world

Humility is lacking
cold heartedness is spreading
more and more it is the languange of today
who hangs with in the balance
but them who see us
and immitate our great hypocrisy

We see the seagull fly, but not when it drowns
We watch the whales breech, not when they run aground
I have nothing to lose in saying all of this
because for my words I am forsaken

And when the great storm comes to take many away
we''ll push our neighbors and children in the way
It is real popular to live a paradox
you give your heart and it''s your heart that is soon lost.

"It is good for me to write these words even if i am the only one to read them"

I see the point you're trying to make Archie, and indeed, many people do live in a bit of a 'bubble'. Some truths to your words for sure...
I like the fourth stanza best.

Nice one, and we did read them. There is too much of pessimissm anyway so we do have to learn to look at the brighter side.

How true a lot of this. However, agreeing with you a lot; I also believe there is still good in this world and good people. You are obviously one of the good ones since you recognize the evil.

Great write! ! ! Keep it up

Tim

Wow how I really relate to these lines:

"We only hear the words Friend i''m here for you
but never say them to one in need of them"

Especially in the last two or three weeks.

However, I really had one true blue friend that stuck with me and supported me all the way through and I will never forget her for that.

I would try to save the birds. Travelled miles to find a bird sanctuary or a vet. As for being there for friends I am the first there by their side flowers domestic help love kisses cuddles financial help. Often i find it hard to say no and attend to others needs before my own. That's must be why I lead such a busy life lol. I do what i can to the best of my abilities. I may say I but me me me never.

I find a lot of truth in what you write alas from my point of view maybe i could do more.

Excellent write

Love Angelxxx
