Not Trying is Loosing

Contributed by Beckett0306 on Thursday, 8th September 2005 @ 01:07:14 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

She stuck out from everyone else
The moment you walked in the room
You were too afraid of what you felt
Out of my league, you assumed

As the days went past
You tried not to think about her
But instead feelings grew steadfast
The only thing you knew, her name: Amber

At home you sat and thought
Why are you such an idiot
Your head and heart constantly fought
It was time to face the gauntlet

You came to class the next day
At her you couldn’t help looking
You still had no idea what to say
Humility was all you thought you were facing

After class was dismissed
You swallowed your fear
It was an opportunity, that couldn’t be missed
You said, “What’d you think about Shakespeare?”

It caught her off guard
But she responded, “Eh, Alright”
A response, had surprised you by far
She continued “Its trouble for me, silly play writes”

You told her you could assist
And she just sort of smiled,
And said, “My house six?”
You said “sure” and just smiled

You told her your name
And went about your way
As well as she on hers
Not knowing she made your day

You showed up a little before six
With the intent to tell her how you felt
In the middle of reading the text
You explained just how she made your heart melt

She looked at you so mystified
Little did you know the words to follow
“It is to you I will now lie”
“My feelings for you are the same”

The too of you laughing at one another
Neither confident to speak up
The rest is history, and it sure did last
A family filled with plenty of love

None of this they would have experienced
If he would have sat on his position
It goes to show you just got to have confidence
Or you’ll be left wondering

What might have been?

You never know what’s going to happen unless you get out there and give it a shot. This is for everyone who has every been to afraid to talk to that girl or guy. Just give it a shot you never know it might turn out to be the love of your life.
