An Open Door

Contributed by Archie on Wednesday, 7th September 2005 @ 06:34:19 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

There are so many things that i could say
I thought so hard about it
But if i said any one of them
the facts would still not change

A wedge is between us
no doubt about it
the only thing that remains
is what i'm gonna do

I think my actions prove
that I have been faithful
to what we could have been

Now I will step aside
go find that special goal
you could not fill with me

I'm not gonna try to hide it
I'm your friend as always will be

Yes my heart is hurt
but i mean for you no ill

Yes I have changed a lot
and there is more that I'll be doing

but it doesn't change the fact
what's in my heart was very real

Less and less we talk
that's always a bad sign
When I want to talk to you
you do not have the time

Some how my changes hurt you
there is no need to lie

instead of living a broken life
I think we should say good bye

I think my actions prove
that I have been faithful
to what we could have been

Now I will step aside
go find that special goal
you could not fill with me

I'm not gonna try to hide it
I'm your friend as always will be

Yes my heart is hurt
but i mean for you no ill

Yes I have changed a lot
and there is more that I'll be doing

but it doesn't change the fact
what's in my heart was very real

So if you want to go
I leave you an open door
I will be here when you get back
go find what you're looking for

Oh wow...It seems a few people can relate quite well to this, and I must admit...I'm one of them! Yeah, a whole lot of what you had to say here is what I've felt recently. Great job expressing your feelings Archie...it's sad, but like you said, sometimes you just have to let go...
