Delicious Ambiguity

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Monday, 5th September 2005 @ 07:36:00 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

I’m languishing on endless blankets of the past,
No longer a celestial white,
But tainted with the sickly yellow of Time,
Yet, immortal in its melancholy…
Loneliness perfumes the air that I breathe,
The wretched taste of strife still dances on my tongue…

Curious, with my usual passion,
About the hidden tragedies painted along the lines decorating
The timeless woman’s face,
Why she still carries the heads of her late husband, her not-so-secret lover,
And a cabbage rotting in her silk purse,
Leaving a trail of acrid memories for our noses to remind us of our own…

The vibrant skins of a mango lay forgotten, along with the sulking seed,
The luscious juices and tears remind me of your kiss,
I am drunk on flavored brine and secretions of peach,
Silent inquiries of... of what?

Oh, EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING AND NOTHING!

I am

P

G
N
I
L

A
F

Drowning in this ocean of healthy lies,
Wrapped passionately in a leaf of weeping,
Wondering if loving without remorse is a sin...

And I love like Hispanic women do,
With all my heart, and soul, and every fiber,
With every curve on my body and beating of breast,
I love so fervently and innocently,
Like a child...

Ah, but am I not a child?

I have the hands of a 5-year-old,
But the words of a sage,
I have the laughter of singing bells and wind chimes in the distance,
The melody of a newborn,
But my voice reveals the sensual lady within...

I am the child I could never be,
I am the woman you will never own...

~~~~~*****~~~~~*****~~~~~
Threads of ambiguous contemplations,
Relentless ponderings of life and love and violent passion,
Nails buried inside the back, pelvises grinding like concrete,
Annnnnd..............
If quizzes are quizzicals, then what are tests?
.....X.....D.....
Somehow... all of this links back to you,
And I can’t figure out why,
I can’t fathom how my hands tremble with such fervent lust,
When they are not dancing along your body...
My words are...
D
And now, you are cross-eyed,
Wondering why I am jumping from conclusion to conclusion without shame,
Why I utterly ADORE watching you m.a.l.f.u.n.c.t.i.o.n.
As my eyes )))undress((( your soul of morbid colors...
odd, but definitely great poem... yeah did I
mention that this was slightly odd. I'm not
sure quite what to make of it, but yeah
definitely unique so it gets full marks from
me.
I was reading through some of the older poems and clicked on this one. The title drew me in right away. I loved this poem, it's something I've always wanted to write. I enjoyed it, and hope you write more like it.
