Someone Else

Contributed by pisces101 on Monday, 5th September 2005 @ 12:37:48 AM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

Someone else is gonna get to sleep on those new brown sheets.
And someone else is gonna get to freeze in your heat.
Someone else will show you just what I mean.
And someone else is gonna treat you the way you've treated me.

Someone else's eyes will be shaded by those curtains that I've picked out.
And someone else will hear the stories you've told me about.
Someone else's heart is gonna break when she hears you shout.
Someone else will get that key to your new house.

Someone else is gonna get to pick up after your mess.
And someone else is gonna get to wake up to make you breakfast.
Someone else is gonna get to try and hold things together when there's nothing left.
Someone else is gonna try her best.

Someone else gets to believe your lies.
And someone else gets to hear she's got pretty eyes.
Someone else gets to give you whats between her thighs.
Then someone else will get to kiss you goodnight.

Someone else will get to touch your beautiful face.
Someone else will get to make all of my mistakes.
That someone else wil stand in my place.
And someone else will have the pleasure of erasing all of the memories we've made.

i like it and was drawn in from the beginning but i didnt think the line "Someone else gets to give you whats between her thighs" worked that well, it seemed like it was forced to rhyme with "And someone else gets to hear she's got pretty eyes". but a gd poem. well done.
