The Ivory........Keys

Contributed by brew on Sunday, 4th September 2005 @ 08:09:09 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

She sat down at the piano..............
Trying to feel what she had lost
The feel of the ivory, keys under her palms
She knew it was there
Just somehow it was still out of reach

She needed to play till her heart was un-filled
So much despair and angry
She began playing, yet the notes were not flowing
She could not hear the music talk
What was wrong?
Where had it went?

Seems when her heart was turned and twisted
It took the feel of all
Why
She still tried, to make the ivorys speak
She tried Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven...........its sounded like Heart and Soul
She now...........sighed.......and Knew........the feel of ivory, was gone.

This is a great write.

During my struggle with depression when the pain was the deepest I stopped singing. The first time I sang again my throat hurt because I had not sung in a long time. The firstime i listened to my favorite music was like hearing it for the first time. Nothing is ever gone we just lose it for a while then it comes back.

A lovely verse right there. With just those lines you could just sit and re-read it over and over again.

A brilliant piece and I thank you for posting.

Jane~
