Build your life in Christ ...He's our rock...

Contributed by inoc on Sunday, 4th September 2005 @ 02:10:43 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

I can't seem to concentrate
the images now in my head are very real
people are stranded sad and-still-
not many but some people think hey, big deal...
It's on the other side of the world
it's not much fun
watching disaster over there
the day here has just begun...
I shed many tears
donate some cash
life goes on here
but I feel like trash.
I could'nt believe how it seemed wrong
For help to arrive
the government should not have taken so long...
more disasters and trouble will happen
where will it be next??
can we totally rely on humans to help so quick
so quick as a phone text?
I totally believe Jesus
will be the only quick way,
When humans go too far
and natures disasters will leave us astray...
He will come in the nick of time.
Humans not ready will be totally in shock.
So prepare yourself ,
maybe build your home on a high rock?

These disasters.. devastations should bring it home.. What more must it take before we turn our hearts ears over to listen to the needs of our families in this world. Everyone is related to everyone. Pray is all I can say. Just pray.

Thank you Coni

Oh Coni
Thank you for these lines - they are overdue.
The disasters are apocalyptic and remind us the priorities in our life.
So many forgot them.
There is the hand of God in the present catastropies.
But they were forecast.
Be gracious and merciful Lord!

I like your honesty in this poem. The rock I want to build on is spiritual for it is the only one that will last.
