A Simple Question

Contributed by jacobmanning on Saturday, 3rd September 2005 @ 01:41:04 AM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

You call me a friend,
but could it ever be more?
You act so sweet,
and talk to adore.

I think about how life could be,
with you in my arms.
I wonder if you see me as
your precious little charm.

But do you see the love I have,
or are your eyes turned away?
Do you like me more than a friend,
or are my dreams far from today?

How do I reveal
the feelings I have for you?
Do I act the same,
or do I make a move?

I don't want to lose,
the friendship we both enjoy.
But I want to love you more than
just as a friendly little boy.

You make me feel special,
in your own unique way.
you send a smile across my face,
and brighten every day.

Your simple words,
and little acts of being kind,
pull me to your heart,
and make me feel divine.

I'm so confused
and I can't decide what to do...
Should I keep my feelings inside
or should I share them with you?

I wish there was just a way,
I could ask this simple thought,
then for sure I would know
if your heart has already been bought.

I guess I just wrote this poem
to show you how I feel
and how much I want to ask this question
without making a big deal.....
